Generative AI for HealthCare

Generative AI is transforming healthcare by streamlining processes, enhancing patient care, and driving innovation across various domains. One significant application is automating clinical documentation, such as patient summaries and discharge notes, reducing the administrative burden on healthcare providers. Similarly, AI-powered conversational systems can engage patients through personalized communication, offering tailored advice, reminders, and support, particularly for those managing chronic conditions or in remote areas. Generative AI accelerates knowledge discovery by synthesizing medical literature, assisting in drafting scientific papers, and designing clinical trials. It also plays a critical role in training healthcare professionals by generating realistic patient scenarios to test clinical skills and decisions. For underserved populations, AI can break down language and literacy barriers, providing multilingual and culturally sensitive health information to improve accessibility and equity. As an example, AI-driven drug discovery is revolutionizing the development of new treatments by generating novel molecular structures and identifying potential candidates faster and more cost-effectively.

This workshop will discuss advanced AI technologies, such as conversational interfaces, neuro-symbolic reasoning, and participatory data management. These innovations enable the integration of diverse healthcare data, the creation of explainable AI systems, and the development of reliable, user-centric applications. The workshop will also emphasize the importance of co-design, engaging clinicians and stakeholders in the development and validation of GenAI tools to ensure their relevance and usability in real-world settings. Together, these discussions aim to demonstrate how AI can drive meaningful, equitable advancements in healthcare.

Lyon

The epicenter of the region, the city of Lyon is, in itself, the capital of French gastronomy. But that’s not all! It is also a city rich in culture, events, and festivities that bring life to both residents and tourists all year round. Lyon is also the city of the Lumière brothers and cinema, Guignol, Olympique Lyonnais, and the Festival of Lights… From the 1st to the 9th arrondissement, there is so much to see and do in Lyon.
